Wireless Device Apps
As part of Telecommunications Access Iowa’s Wireless Program, they offer wireless devices with special pre-loaded accessibility apps that are specific to an individual’s communications needs.
For example, a Deaf or hard-of-hearing person would receive a device with apps that focus on video relay, such as (but not limited to) Glide, Convo, Sorenson nTouch, and more.
A person with speech difficulty would receive a wireless device with apps that focus on improving their dialogue, such as (but not limited to) Proloquo2Go, Sounding Board, Speak4Me, and more.
Also, TAI offers general apps such as (but not limited to) email, YouTube, Red Cross Emergency, Weather Channel, and more.
